Award-winning folk artist and philanthropist Eunice LaFate is partnering with non-profit organizations to support their fundraising efforts. LaFate Gallery is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her two iconic lithographs, both of which are part of the art collection at the Presidential Library of former President Bill Clinton. The lithograph “Melting Pot vs. Salad Bowl” was even featured on the cover of a manual to teach race relations in America. Each lithograph, signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity, is priced at $300.

Classes & Workshops

Heart of Caregiving Class

Cost: $30
This class is for caregivers, grievers, or those under stress. The presenter will discuss coping mechanisms and share samples from the “Heart of Caregiving” work. Caregivers will also create folk art based on their caregiving experience, promoting personal expression and reflection.

The Art of Business... "How to Transform a Hobby into a Business"

Cost: $50
This workshop explores the steps to turn a passion into a successful venture. The session covers key strategies for planning, marketing, and managing a business, guiding participants through the process of monetizing their hobbies while maintaining their personal vision and creativity.

Painting the Folk Art Way

Cost: $40
This is an art class designed to help participants “Discover the Artist in YOU.” The presenter will cover the basics of creating art, focusing on “Lines, Shapes, & Colors.” Participants will tour the gallery for inspiration and then be guided to create their own artwork using these fundamental elements.

Eunice LaFate’s contributions to art and community have earned her widespread recognition. She was named one of the Most Influential Delawareans in 2020 by the News Journal and honored at the 2004 Black Achievers in Business & Industry Award Banquet.
LaFate received the Individual Artist Fellowship in Folk Arts & Crafts from the Delaware Division of Arts and has served over 20 years as a speaker for the Delaware Humanities Forum. Her work has been featured in the documentary Arts As Prevention and the HeArt of Caregiving catalog, showcasing her dedication to creativity as a force for cultural and social impact.
